This morning I joined Weight Watchers for 1,101st time… at least that is what it feels like. When I stepped on that all too familiar scale, I was crossing my fingers that I wasn’t too far from the weight I was when I last stepped on a scale. I tried to keep as still as possible so that the woman behind the counter could weigh me accurately. Luckily, I was only a few pounds away from that number I had in my head from long ago.

I’m going to New York in February for Fashion Week and I’d like to lose at least 20lbs. by the time February comes around. I know, it is a bit of stretch for someone starting a diet merely 2 weeks before Christmas but I’ve reached a point where what I’m eating now (this means lots of take out and fast food) is not treating me well so fresh, simpler foods are going to be a welcome change. I actually love salads and soups and that’s is usually my M.O. when I diet. It’s back to counting points.

The thing I really, really need to work on is moving my ass. I work at a desk for 8 hours during the day and usually I come home and nap, or sit in a chair and work on my blog. Either way, I’m definitely not raising my heart rate. I bought EA Active for the Wii and guess what? My thighs are too big to strap on their controller. My sister, who I live with, has been using it lately and it looks like something I’d like to do. The boxing in particular looks fun. I have to think of some way to make it work.

Here’s to another beginning with WW. I got the app already on my iPhone and I found my tennis shoes so I could put them in the car. I want to have them ready to go in case I get a wild hair and maybe, who knows, decide to go for a walk.
